What does the Bible say about the law in Deuteronomy?

Answered in 2 sources

The law in Deuteronomy serves to identify sin and lead us to Christ, illustrating our need for a Savior.

The law, as presented in Deuteronomy, has two distinct purposes. First, it serves to identify sin and condemn it within us, helping us recognize our own guilt before a holy God (Romans 3:19). Second, the law acts as a schoolmaster, designed to push us into the arms of Christ, revealing our utter helplessness and need for redemption (Galatians 3:24). Once we come to Christ, the law no longer holds authority over us, as we are justified and made righteous through faith in Him.
