What does the Bible say about the life God gives?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible explains that God is the author of life, both physical and spiritual, giving life to His creation with abundant grace.

The Scriptures affirm that God is the ultimate source of life. In Isaiah, He declares, 'I have made the earth and created man upon it' (Isaiah 45:18). Every person exists because of God's creative power, demonstrated from the creation of Adam, who was formed from the dust and received life through the breath of God. This physical life is a gift, emphasizing humanity's dependence on God. Furthermore, the Scriptures reveal the necessity of spiritual life, as indicated in Ephesians 2:1, where Paul writes that we are born dead in trespasses and sins. Regeneration, through which the Spirit revitalizes the dead soul, allows us to receive new life in Christ. Jesus states in John 10:10, 'I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly,' highlighting the divine intent to provide eternal life to those who believe.
