What does the Bible say about the need for God's grace?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that all humans are spiritually dead and powerless without God's sovereign grace to save them.

Scripture is clear that man, in his natural state, is dead in trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1). Romans 5:6 states that when we were yet without strength, Christ died for the ungodly. This highlights our total inability to secure our own future before God. True enlightenment begins with the recognition that we are utterly helpless without divine intervention. Acknowledging our inability to save ourselves is crucial for anyone to see their need for Christ and His grace.
