What does the Bible say about the need for Jesus?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that we all need Jesus for salvation, as He is the only means by which we can be redeemed and reconciled to God.

In Acts 28:24 and throughout Scripture, it is clear that the need for Jesus is universal. The gospel maintains that all humanity is in desperate need of salvation due to sin, and Jesus Christ is the Sovereign Redeemer who fulfills this need. This necessity for Jesus reveals the individual realization of spiritual hunger and thirst, a condition described in the sermon. Just as one understands physical hunger, so too must one recognize their need for Christ, who promises to satisfy the longings of the soul. In Isaiah 55:1, the invitation is extended that those who thirst should come to the waters, highlighting that those who recognize their need for Him will find their fulfillment in Jesus.
