What does the Bible say about the origin of different races?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that all races descended from one common pair, Adam and Eve, as stated in Acts 17:26.

According to Scripture, all human beings trace their lineage back to Adam and Eve, who are described as the 'mother of all living' (Genesis 3:20). Acts 17:26 asserts that God made from one blood all nations of men to inhabit the earth. This indicates that regardless of the diverse races and nationalities we see today, all humans share a common ancestry. Importantly, while there are various characteristics that distinguish these groups, the divergence happened after the Tower of Babel incident when God confused their languages and scattered them across the globe (Genesis 11:8-9). The differences we observe can be attributed to God's orderly dispersion and perhaps the preservation of genetic variations within the human gene pool.
