What does the Bible say about the peace of a believer at death?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that believers can face death with peace through faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior.

In 2 Timothy 4:6-8, the Apostle Paul exemplifies this truth as he expresses his readiness to depart from this life, confident in his faith and the righteousness that comes from Christ. He understood that his acceptance by God was solely due to the redemptive work of Christ, providing him peace in the face of death. This assurance comes from being robed in Christ's righteousness and knowing one's sins are fully atoned.
