What does the Bible say about the presence of God?

Answered in 9 sources

The Bible describes God's presence as a source of fullness of joy and ultimate communion with believers in eternity.

The Bible emphasizes that in God's presence, there is fullness of joy as seen in Psalm 16:11. It highlights the blessedness and sweetness of experiencing God's friendship and love, even in a world where this is only partially realized. In eternity, believers look forward to seeing God in open vision, which promises a greater experience of His glory than what we currently perceive. Revelation 21 illustrates this by stating that in the new heavens and new earth, God Himself will dwell among His people, eliminating the need for a temple and providing light without a sun.
