What does the Bible say about the presence of God among Christians?

The presence of God is fundamentally what makes the house of God unique. In John 14:3, Jesus assures His disciples that where He is, there they may be also. This speaks to the intimate relationship between Christ and His followers. In Genesis 28, Jacob recognizes that the place is holy not because of its location but because the Lord was present there.
