What does the Bible say about the purification of sins?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ purged our sins by himself, providing complete purification and reconciliation with God.

Hebrews 1:3 emphasizes that Jesus, after he had provided purification for sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. This statement reveals that Jesus' act of purging our sins was not partial or ongoing; it was complete. He did this by himself, meaning he bore the weight of our sins without assistance, ensuring that no part of our cleansing depends on human effort. Our filthy, defiled state before God has been addressed fully through Christ’s sacrifice, and thus our relationship with God is not marred by our sins anymore. We stand before God as if our sins never existed, forgiven and completely cleansed.
