What does the Bible say about the purpose of Revelation?

Answered in 4 sources

The purpose of Revelation is to reveal God's message to His believing servants regarding the triumph of the Kingdom of God over the Kingdom of Satan.

The Book of Revelation serves as God's communication to His people about the unfolding of history as His Kingdom advances over Satan's realm. The world we inhabit is described as the Kingdom of Satan, often filled with trials and tribulations. Yet, the central message of Revelation reassures believers that despite how chaotic or hopeless things may appear, God is sovereignly in control. He is actively implementing His agenda, and believers are encouraged that their faith is not in vain. The unfolding of events in history is secured under God's power, and ultimately, the Kingdom of God will prevail, offering great comfort and hope to His people.
