What does the Bible say about the relationship between theology and evangelism?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that our methodology in evangelism should reflect our true theology, particularly the sufficiency and clarity of Scripture.

The relationship between theology and evangelism is fundamentally rooted in the belief that our methodology is an extension of our theology. As the Apostle Paul instructed Timothy, the Holy Scriptures are able to make one wise unto salvation and are sufficient for equipping the minister for every good work (2 Timothy 3:15-17). This indicates that the content and method of evangelism must align with the truths of Scripture. If we believe in the sovereignty of God and the importance of His glory in salvation, our evangelistic efforts should prioritize the faithful proclamation of His word over pragmatic concerns.
