What does the Bible say about the role of Jesus Christ in our salvation?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that Jesus must perform a miracle of grace in our souls for us to be saved.

According to Scripture, salvation is entirely a work of God's grace, initiated by the Father, executed by the Son, and applied by the Holy Spirit. In Luke 4 and Psalm 2, we see that Christ’s mission is to preach the gospel to the poor in spirit and to heal the brokenhearted. This indicates that it is the sovereign will of God that transforms and saves us. Without God's intervention in our hearts through His divine grace, we cannot escape our sinful state and will remain lost. Therefore, it is crucial to understand that faith in Jesus involves recognizing the need for His grace to work within us for salvation.
