What does the Bible say about the security of the believer?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible assures that believers are securely held in Christ's hands and will never perish.

In John 10:27-28, Jesus clearly states that His sheep hear His voice, and He gives them eternal life, assuring that they will never perish. This promise is rooted in the nature of Christ as the good shepherd, whose responsibility it is to keep His flock secure. The security of the believer is not contingent upon their ability to maintain their faith but rests fully in the faithfulness of Christ. Romans 8:38-39 further emphasizes this, declaring that nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.
