What does the Bible say about the separation of the righteous and the wicked?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that at the end of the world, angels will separate the wicked from the just, with the wicked facing eternal punishment.

In Matthew 13:47-50, Jesus uses the parable of a net to illustrate the impending separation between the righteous and the wicked. When the net is pulled ashore, good fish are gathered into vessels while the bad are cast away. This signifies that there will be a definitive separation at the end of the age. The angels will come forth to sever the wicked from among the just, casting them into the furnace of fire where there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. This serves as a sobering reminder of the final judgment and the reality of eternal destinies based on one's standing before God.
