What does the Bible say about the source of grace?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that grace is given to us by God, as seen in Ephesians 2:8-9.

The source of grace in the believer's life is ultimately God Himself. As Paul states in Colossians 1:3, 'We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you.' This highlights that grace is not a result of our actions or will but is given by God. In John 3:27, it's clear, 'A man can receive nothing except it be given him from above.' Therefore, all grace, faith, hope, and love originate from God, and we must acknowledge His sovereignty in granting these gifts to the believer.
