What does the Bible say about the source of sin?

Answered in 1 source

The source of sin is man; it is our iniquities that separate us from God.

The Bible teaches that the source of sin is man himself. As stated in Isaiah 50:1, it is our own iniquities that have caused the separation from God. The sufficiency and necessity of recognizing that it is our fault, not God's, is crucial. This separation is a reality acknowledged by all, although we often do not understand how it can be reconciled. God did not leave us but rather, we left Him, demonstrating that the separation stems from our sin and rebellion against His holiness.
