What does the Bible say about the throne of judgment?

Proverbs 20:8 states, 'A king that sitteth in the throne of judgment scattereth away all evil with his eyes.' This verse signifies the divine authority of the King, who is ultimately the Lord Jesus Christ. His position as the sovereign ruler indicates a completed work whereby He judges and dispels all evil. This portrays not only his authority but also his active role in governing righteousness and justice among those He has redeemed. Through His sacrificial blood, He provides a covering for His elect, allowing them mercy and preventing condemnation.
