What does the Bible say about the two natures of saints?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that believers possess two natures: the old sinful nature and a new nature created by God.

In Romans 7:7-25, the Apostle Paul highlights the reality of a believer's dual natures. Before coming to Christ, individuals are described as being in the flesh, with the motions of sin working through the law to produce rebellion. However, upon being born again, believers receive a new nature which struggles against their remaining sinful inclinations. This conflict illustrates the transformation that occurs in the life of a believer, affirming that while the old nature remains, it is not the defining characteristic of a Christian's identity.
