What does the Bible say about the veil of separation in the tabernacle?

Answered in 1 source

The veil in the tabernacle represents the separation between God and man, symbolizing Christ as the mediator who removes this barrier.

The veil of separation referred to in Exodus 26 was a physical barrier placed in the tabernacle that kept the most holy place hidden from the people. It symbolizes the separation caused by sin between God and humanity. Only the high priest could enter this sacred area once a year on the Day of Atonement with the blood of a sacrifice, representing the need for atonement for sin. In Hebrews 9, it is revealed that this veil signifies Christ's humanity, which concealed His divine glory and fulfilled the requirements for reconciliation between God and mankind. His sacrificial death ultimately rent this veil, granting believers direct access to God through Him.
