What does the Bible say about the way to the city of God?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that Jesus is the only way to the city of God, as stated in John 14:6.

In the Gospel of John, Jesus declares, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me' (John 14:6). This statement underscores that access to the heavenly city is not through personal efforts or good deeds, but solely through faith in Jesus Christ. Believers are called to turn away from their own misguided attempts and to trust in the redeeming work of Christ which alone leads to eternal life and the New Jerusalem, as Abraham searched for the city whose builder and maker is God (Hebrews 11:10).
