What does the Bible say about the Word of God coming to people?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that God's Word is specifically directed towards His elect, revealing truth and granting understanding through the Holy Spirit.

The Word of God comes to all of God's people in a powerful and transformative way. In Romans 3:11, it states that there is none who seeks after God, highlighting the necessity of divine intervention for one to understand His word. In Matthew 16:17, when Peter confesses Jesus as the Christ, Jesus declares that this revelation was given solely by the Father in heaven. Therefore, while many may read the Scriptures, only those whom the Holy Spirit has touched will truly grasp the significance and implications of the truth contained within them.
