What does the Bible say about the work of righteousness?

Answered in 3 sources

The Bible teaches that the work of righteousness is accomplished by Christ alone, resulting in peace and assurance for believers.

The work of righteousness refers to the perfect obedience and sacrificial death of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is essential for the salvation of sinners. As Isaiah 32:17 states, 'The work of righteousness shall be peace and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.' This work is not something we can accomplish on our own, as sinful humanity cannot produce true righteousness. Instead, it is a work done by Christ as our representative, through His obedience to the law and His sacrificial death, which secures righteousness for His people.
