What does the Bible say about the worship of angels?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that while angels are indeed powerful beings, they are not to be worshipped but serve as messengers of God.

The Bible is clear that worship is due to God alone. In Revelation 22:8-9, when John attempts to worship an angel, he is rebuked, echoing the understanding that both angels and men are not to receive worship that belongs to God. Instead, angels are depicted as beings who worship God and serve Him in His purposes, as outlined in Hebrews 1:6, where they are commanded to worship Christ. Therefore, the veneration of angels must align with Scripture's teaching that they are created beings, subject to worship the Creator.
