What does the Bible say about trials and God's sovereignty?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that trials come from God to reveal our need for Him, as seen in Isaiah 7:1-15.

In Isaiah 7, we see King Ahaz faced with a formidable trial as he learns that the kings of Syria and Israel are coming to wage war against Jerusalem. God, however, is sovereign over this situation. He uses the trial to demonstrate to Ahaz and the people of Judah their need for divine intervention. The scripture reveals that God turns the hearts of kings and orchestrates events to accomplish His purposes, illustrating how trials can serve to draw us closer to God and highlight our dependence on Him for deliverance.
