What does the Bible say about trials and storms in life?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that trials are sovereignly ordained by God for our growth and to reveal His power.

In Mark 4, we see that the storms faced by the disciples are symbolic of the trials we experience in life. They are not random; rather, they are ordained by God, meant to refine us and prepare us for greater challenges ahead. These trials are often tailor-made, fitting us perfectly at the right moment, just as a good cook measures ingredients. They serve to reveal our weaknesses and to lead us to rely completely on Christ, who is our solid rock during tumultuous times. God's sovereign hand commands these storms, as noted in Psalm 107, to show us His wonder and to deepen our faith in Him.
