What does the Bible say about trials in the life of a believer?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that trials are a part of the believer's journey, meant to strengthen faith and accomplish God's eternal purposes.

Scripture encourages us not to be surprised by fiery trials, as they are allowed by God to test and refine our faith (1 Peter 4:12). Just as David faced severe trials, these experiences serve to reveal our helplessness and the glory of God. God sovereignly orchestrates events, allowing trials to unfold to guide His people towards deliverance and deeper faith, as seen in the life of David during his rebellion with Absalom.
