What does the Bible say about trouble and tribulation?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that Christians will face tribulation, but through Christ, we gain patience and hope.

The Scriptures affirm that believers will encounter tribulation in this world, as stated in John 16:33, 'In the world, you shall have tribulation.' However, these challenges serve a purpose in the life of a believer. As Romans 5:3-5 explains, 'we glory in tribulation also, knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope.' This process not only deepens our faith but also reassures us of God's faithfulness to deliver us from our woes, producing a mature faith that rejoices in suffering.
