What does the Bible say about trusting Christ as our High Priest?

The Scriptures reveal that Jesus Christ is our great High Priest, appointed by God to mediate between us and the Father. In Hebrews 5:1-9, it is evident that without a high priest, we cannot approach God. Christ, being sinless and compassionate, offers Himself as the perfect sacrifice to atone for the sins of His people, thus enabling us to come boldly before the Father in Him. Without Him, our attempts to reach God are futile, as we cannot come on our own merit but must rely solely on His finished work.
