What does the Bible say about trusting God during difficult times?

Answered in 4 sources

The Bible encourages us to trust in God, assuring us that He will not withhold any good from His children.

The Scriptures emphasize the importance of trusting God, especially during trials and distress. In John 14:1, Jesus commands us not to let our hearts be troubled, but to have faith in God and in Him. This trust is pivotal as it affirms that God's love intends eternal good for us, and His providential hand orchestrates everything for our benefit (Romans 8:28). A troubled heart can essentially question God's love, providence, and promises, thus stripping us of the joys and blessings He provides. Instead, we are called to embrace faith, as it helps us recognize and appreciate the mercies we currently have, regardless of our circumstances.
