What does the Bible say about trusting God's plans?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that we should trust in the Lord's plans, as He has a better understanding of our needs and circumstances than we do.

In Proverbs 3:5-6, we are instructed to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding. This reflects the sovereign grace belief that God knows what is best for us, even when we face disappointment. John Newton highlights that our own plans often lead to ruin, whereas God's plans for us are perfect and ultimately for our good. By surrendering our desires and trusting in His management, we can experience peace regardless of our circumstances.
