What does the Bible say about trusting God when everything fails?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches us that everything we put our trust in can fail, but God remains faithful and will provide for His people.

In Genesis 47, we see a poignant picture of trust in God through the account of Joseph and his family during a severe famine. Joseph's provision for his family illustrates how God nourishes His people spiritually, pointing to Christ as the Bread of Life. When everything else—our health, finances, and relationships—fails, we are reminded to trust in God's unfailing nature. Scripture shows us that even as nations may fall and economies may crumble, the Lord assures us that He will never forsake His people, just as David testified he had never seen the righteous begging for bread (Psalm 37:25). This theme of reliance on God despite circumstances is a recurring assurance throughout Scripture.
