What does the Bible say about using time for God?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that we should use our time diligently for God's purposes, as demonstrated by Jesus in Mark 1:32-34.

In Mark 1:32-34, we see Jesus taking every opportunity to serve God. He spent His day healing and driving out demons, utilizing His time fully for the glory of God. This prompts us to reflect on how we spend our time and whether we prioritize God's kingdom in our lives. Jesus had the same 24 hours as we do; thus, the challenge is to evaluate whether we are dedicating sufficient time to God amidst our worldly responsibilities.

There are legitimate commitments such as work, family, and leisure that can occupy our time, but they should not overshadow our devotion to God. Instead, we must seek to prioritize Him, ensuring that spiritual practices like prayer and Bible reading are integral parts of our daily lives. Life is fleeting, and focusing on eternal matters is essential, as Jesus exemplified in His ministry.
