What does the Bible say about weariness?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible acknowledges the weariness of life due to sin, but it encourages believers to find rest and strength in Christ.

The Bible depicts this world as a weary place, filled with the consequences of sin, which causes unrest and exhaustion for everyone, especially believers. Adam's rebellion against God brought weariness not only upon himself but on all humanity. Isaiah speaks of a coming king, Christ, who provides rest and strength, alleviating the weariness that sin has brought into our lives. This weariness is not merely physical but also spiritual and emotional, manifesting in trials and tribulations that test our faith. However, the promise of Christ, the King, assures us of peace, as His righteousness brings quietness and assurance to our souls.
