What does the Bible say about who can enter God's presence?

Answered in 1 source

Only those with clean hands and a pure heart, fulfilled in Jesus Christ, can enter God's presence.

The Bible indicates that no sinful creature possesses the ability or righteousness required to enter into God's holy presence. In Psalm 24, the questions posed highlight the inaccessibility of God's presence to fallen humanity: 'Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? Who shall stand in his holy place?' The answer is clear – it takes perfect holiness to stand before God, something no man can achieve on his own. Only Jesus Christ, our mediator, can meet this requirement, having fulfilled the law in its entirety. He alone has clean hands and a pure heart, qualifying Him to present us to God.
