What does the Bible say about who shall abide in God's presence?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that only those with clean hands and a pure heart may dwell in God's presence (Psalm 24:3).

The question of who may abide in God's presence is vital and is addressed in Psalm 15 and Psalm 24. According to Psalm 24:3, only those with clean hands and a pure heart are fit to stand before the holy God. This reflects the inherent requirement for perfection to be accepted by God. However, Scripture makes it clear that in and of ourselves, we cannot meet God's demand for perfection. The good news of the gospel informs us that it is through Jesus Christ—who fulfilled the law both in precept and penalty—that we are made righteous and granted access to God's presence.
