What does the Bible say about who we are?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that we are creatures made by God and designed for a purpose.

According to the Bible, we are created by God, which is fundamental to understanding our identity. God made the world in six days, and on the sixth day, He created humanity. This creation means that our lives hold significance, as we were made for a purpose by our Creator. The Scriptures remind us that our existence is not accidental; we are intentional creations of God, and therefore, we must recognize the value of our lives as gifts from Him. In Hebrews 12:9, we are reminded that if God is our Father, we are His children, which further illustrates our identity in Him.
