What does the Bible say about why men don't believe?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible teaches that men do not believe because they are not of God, do not want to believe, and are blinded by sin.

The Scriptures plainly state that those who do not believe the gospel are showing that they are not of God (John 8:47). They lack the will to believe due to a heart aligned with darkness rather than light (John 3:19-20). Moreover, they are often blinded by Satan, preventing them from recognizing the truth of the gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4). This underscores the necessity of divine revelation; unless God reveals Himself, men remain in their unbelief.
