What does the Bible say about wisdom and fools?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible indicates that even fools have access to wisdom but often lack the heart to seek it due to their nature.

In Proverbs 17:16, the question is posed: 'Wherefore is there a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing he hath no heart to it?' This highlights a profound truth: while God's grace and wisdom are available to all, the fool, by nature, does not possess a true desire for it. Romans 1:20 and Romans 2:14 elaborate that God's goodness and the moral law written in our hearts provide everyone with a means to seek wisdom. However, the fallen human condition, corrupted by sin, renders men spiritually blind and uninterested in the wisdom of God.
