What does the Bible say about worshiping celebrities?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that God alone is worthy of worship, and idolizing celebrities distracts from true devotion to Him.

The scriptures make it clear that any talent or gift possessed by individuals, whether they are celebrities or otherwise, comes from God and should ultimately lead to worship of Him. Romans 1:25 reminds us that worshiping the creature rather than the Creator leads to God's judgment. In a society that often venerates stars and athletes, we must remember that all glory belongs to God, and true worship should be directed towards Him alone.
