What does the Bible teach about faith in trials?

Answered in 1 source

Faith is essential during trials, as it demonstrates our trust in God’s promises.

The Bible teaches that faith is the assurance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). In times of trial, faith is critical because it allows us to trust in God's goodness and promises despite our circumstances. Mordecai and Esther exemplified this faith; they did not waver in their trust that God would deliver His people. As believers, we are reminded that trials work to strengthen our faith and produce perseverance (James 1:2-4). Our faith, therefore, is not mere belief but active trust in God's character and His Word even amid uncertainty.
