What does the fear of judgment teach us about fleeing to Christ?

Answered in 1 source

The fear of judgment prompts us to flee to Christ as our necessary escape from wrath.

The fear of judgment is a profound motivator that leads us to flee to Christ. Just as the slayer lived in fear of the avenger, so too are we aware of the impending judgment due to our sins. This fear should drive us to seek the refuge found in Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come. It is through acknowledging our need and fleeing to Him that we find not only salvation but also peace from our fears. Our confidence rests in the truth that Christ has satisfied justice on our behalf, allowing us to stand secure in Him.
