What does the Great Commission say about preaching?

Answered in 1 source

The Great Commission commands us to preach the gospel, which is centered on Christ.

In the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus instructs His followers to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to observe all that He has commanded. This mission is fundamentally about preaching Christ, as He is the gospel. The charge to go and make disciples implies that the message to be shared is the message of Jesus Christ, reflecting His authority and saving power. Preachers are thus compelled to faithfully deliver this message to fulfill their divine calling.
