What does the Kingdom of God mean for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

The Kingdom of God represents God's sovereign rule, where He reigns in the hearts of His people and fulfills their spiritual and material needs.

The Kingdom of God is central to Jesus’ ministry and message. In Luke 9:2, Jesus sends out His disciples to preach the Kingdom of God, which signifies God's authority and sovereignty over His creation. This Kingdom is not just a future hope but is actively present in the lives of believers today as evident from Paul’s declaration in Colossians 1:13, where he speaks of being delivered from darkness and transferred into the Kingdom of His Son. The Kingdom of God embodies complete salvation for the believer's spiritual needs and assurance that God provides for the needs of the body. As believers recognize His kingship, they are called to live under His reign and proclaim His truth to others.
