What does the law teach us about ourselves?

Answered in 1 source

The law teaches us that we are incapable of achieving righteousness on our own.

The law serves as a mirror reflecting our sinful state and shows us the impossibility of achieving righteousness through our own efforts. Paul articulates this struggle in Romans 7, where he describes the conflict between his desires to do good and the pull of sin in his flesh. By recognizing the law's role in revealing our sin, we can understand our need for Christ's redemptive work, which provides the righteousness we cannot obtain by ourselves.
