What does the manna symbolize in the Christian faith?

In Exodus 16, the daily provision of manna represents God's grace and care for His people, and in the New Testament, it’s a type of Christ. Jesus identifies Himself as the true bread from heaven, which nourishes our souls. The ongoing provision of manna during the Israelites' journey reflects that believers must look to Christ continually for spiritual sustenance; just as they could not save or preserve their manna for the next day, Christians are called to rely on Christ and seek Him daily. As believers, we acknowledge that we cannot live on yesterday's faith but need to experience the living Christ anew each day.
