What does the resurrection mean for Christians facing death?

Answered in 1 source

For Christians, the resurrection provides confidence and assurance of victory over death and eternal life.

The resurrection of Christ fundamentally alters the Christian's perspective on death. In Romans 6:5, it is stated that if believers have been planted in the likeness of His death, they shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection. This encourages Christians to face death without fear, as it signifies that Christ has conquered death. Furthermore, 1 Corinthians 15:57 reminds believers that they have victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. The promise of resurrection invigorates believers to live boldly and faithfully, knowing that just as Christ was raised, they too will be raised to eternal life in glory. Therefore, the resurrection is a source of hope and courage in the face of mortality.
