What does the truth mean for believers?

Answered in 1 source

For believers, the truth is the freedom found in Christ, who reveals God and His righteousness.

In John 8, Jesus clearly states that knowing the truth brings freedom. This truth is not only knowledge but a personal relationship with Christ, who is the embodiment of truth. Believers come to recognize their state of bondage to sin and the need for the redemptive work of Jesus to liberate them. As they understand and embrace this truth, they are set free from sin's penalty and power, enabling them to live in accordance with God's will and purpose. The truth illuminates the believer's path, providing guidance and assurance of God's grace.
