What happens after a person believes in Jesus?

Answered in 1 source

After believing in Jesus, one is justified and receives the Spirit of God.

When a person places their faith in Jesus Christ, they undergo a transformation that includes justification and receiving the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:1 assures us that 'there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.' Justification means being declared righteous before God. Furthermore, when we believe, we are sealed with the Holy Spirit, as stated in Ephesians 1:13, marking us as God's own. This transformation brings about spiritual rebirth, enabling us to live in obedience and relationship with God.
