What happens if we disregard our duties to weaker brothers?

Answered in 1 source

Disregarding our duties to weaker brothers results in sinning against Christ and damaging our witness.

When believers neglect their responsibilities towards weaker brothers within the faith, they not only fail to walk in love, but they also usurp the judgment that rightfully belongs to God. Romans 14:15 calls attention to the grave consequence of causing a weaker brother to stumble and emphasizes that such actions are a contradiction to the gospel itself. When stronger believers exercise their liberties without regard for their brethren, they fail to uphold the virtue of Christ’s selfless love and risk damaging the collective witness of the church. This neglect can lead to serious spiritual ramifications for both the strong and the weak, resulting in divisions and a misrepresentation of the values of God's kingdom.
