What happens to our bodies after we die?

Answered in 1 source

After death, believers are buried, but they will be resurrected in glorified bodies on the last day.

Upon death, the bodies of believers are laid to rest, returning to the dust. However, this temporary state is not the end. John 6:39-40 assures us that all whom the Father has given to Christ will be raised on the last day. The Apostle Paul uses the analogy of a seed; just as a grain must die to produce new life, our current bodies will decay but will be transformed into glorious, incorruptible bodies. This transition signifies not an end but a profound renewal, making us fit for eternal communion with God. The promise of a new body reinforces the hope that even in death, believers have a future beyond the grave.
